3. Oracle Warehouse Builder
Please add in any I have missed out or you wanted to include in the provided list. So I would try to compare , provide my recommendations.
ETL Tools:
ReplyDeleteSSIS from Microsoft
Talend from OpenSource
MS Integration Services for ETL tools, definetely
ReplyDeleteYou can add a more complete solution for ETL, and platform independent, called Oracle Data Integrator.
ReplyDeleteAs BI tools, you have a more accesible solution called Oracle BI Suite Standard Edition One, who has the same architecture as OBIEE, but less client tools, such as Delivers, Disconnected Analytics, MS Office plug-in... but it includes Answers, Dashboards and BI Publisher. It's a complete suite, and you can upgrade to OBIEE as your requierements grows up. It includes standar database and Oracle Warehouse Builder too.

I can add that Oracle Data Integrator is capable to get data from heterogeneous sources, and then, it can load transformed data in heterogeneus database servers too. So it's the most complete solution por ETL (EL-T).
ReplyDeleteYou left out Information Builders.
ReplyDeleteInformation Builders offers both Business Intelligence and Integration tools from a single platform. There are ETL, Performance Management and Search solutions built on top of this platform as well as the standard BI functionality you'd expect. The integration offering handles both EIM and MDM with native data adapters for over 300 data sources.
